Thank-a-Cop
Brother Tim Kroll led a team of men to prepare and deliver a lasagna dinner to the New Hanover County Jail where they fed about sixty guards.
Assisting with the meal preparation were, in addition to Kroll, Ken O'Leary, Jr.; and with delivery and serving John Danchisko, Tim Kroll, Grand Knight Greg Peters, Bob Gabel and Talin Germain.
Knight of the Month Joe D'Alessandro
Our Knight of the Month for February 2025 is Joe D'Alessandro.
Joe is a high energy, thoughtful and active member of our Council. In the Fall, Joe assumed the co-chairmanship of the very successful Knight’s Breakfast, under the mentorship of long time Chair George Schadt. Likewise, he is now leading the three Fish Frys this year. This leadership effort involves planning, organizing and conducting these breakfasts and fish frys resulting in the served community’s appreciation. Joe works tirelessly to make these the success that they are. Joe exemplifies our Order’s principles in any activity he undertakes. We as a council are very grateful to have a brother knight like Joe.
Family of the Month George & Barbara Schadt
Our Family of the Month for February 2025 is George & Barbara Schadt.
George, undoubtedly famous for leading Knights Breakfasts for many years, also serves faithfully as an Usher and an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at Saint Mark, and anchors one end of the weekly rosary at the Respect Life Prayer Vigil. Both he and Barbara are active members of the Sharing Tree ministry as well as the St. Vincent de Paul Conference of the Cape Fear Deanery. The Knights of Columbus and the Columbiettes are grateful to have this couple as faithful and active participants.
